Calming the Mind, Where Sleep Really Begins
Most
sleepless nights don’t start in the body,
they start in the mind.
If
thoughts are racing, don’t wrestle them. Write them down. A simple list for
tomorrow, or even a note about a worry, tells your brain, “This is handled, for now.”
Reading
can be a gentle bridge into sleep, as long as the story doesn’t pull you too
far in. Choose something calming, something that lets your eyes grow heavy
instead of wide.
Relaxation
matters. Slow breathing, loosening each muscle, or simply sitting quietly for a
few minutes can dissolve the stress of the day.
Sound can
help too. Some people sleep better with soft music, others with white noise or
the gentle rhythm of water. It’s not about silence, it’s about comfort.
