As I walked along two pairs of birds flew in front of me. They began calling and running as though trying to catch my attention. I know that their motive was to lead me away from the nests not too far from the side of the trail that walk. It’s an effective strategy for the most part and would work wth most animals.
Their behaviour reminds me of that of a fair number of humans I know who often resort to using distraction tactics to have others not notice their weaknesses. Of course this is all sensible and at the same time impractical behaviour in our world. The only problem comes when we use the strategies on ourselves, creating a false way of being because we refuse to take responsibility for our errors.
This is repeated in workplaces where people shift the responsibility and the blame onto others in order to protect careers and paychecks. But at what costs? Though humans use the same tactics of diversion as a number of birds there is a difference in terms of intent. It’s one thing to protect the nest and another thing to shift blame from where it rightfully belongs onto others.
Steven Harper, aligns himself with the Conservatives in the US in a race to take Canada to the bottom. Creative Revolution in a great post here shows how Harper feels about Canada
That inspiration of light and hope that Harper talked about in 1997? In his own words.....

Canada is a Northern European welfare state in the worst sense of the term, and very proud of it. Canadians make no connection between the fact that they are a Northern European welfare state and the fact that we have very low economic growth, a standard of living substantially lower than yours, a massive brain drain of young professionals to your country, and double the unemployment rate of the United States."
"[Y]our country [the USA], and particularly your conservative movement, is a light and an inspiration to people in this country and across the world."
Listen to an average Conservative voter (not rich) and they will tell you that it was the unions and those socialists that ruined Canada. When the exact opposite is the truth, they try to shift the blame and it appears to be working at this point, my hope is that the tide will start to shift as Harper moves to incorporate more of the Conservatives social agenda in Canada.
On a web site, Let Freedom Rain. Harper was a neo-Nazi. He was a member of Northern Foundations, a member of the Reformers affiliated with the skinheads, in 1989.
ReplyDeleteRead: Harper gives a speech in New York, at the Council of Foreign Relations. Sept. 25/2007. Harper made his evil agenda, abundantly clear.
Canadians woke up far too late on Harper. As did the German citizens wake up too late, on Hitlers evil agenda.
We were warned what would happen to Canada, if Harper won a majority. We could kiss Canada good-bye. And, people didn't listen, as the people didn't listen to the others who warned of Hitler.
