Avoiding Bad Habits

Would it not be nice if you could avoid bad habits instead of having to quit them after starting? No one will avoid all bad habits. There are just too many to stay away from them all. Yet, you can reduce the number of bad habits you have to conquer.
There are certain bad habits that you can avoid altogether. Your body has no need for nicotine or tar from cigarettes. So, if you do not take that first cigarette, you will never have to face the daunting task of giving them up. It is well worth any social discomfort you might feel to dodge that bullet.
Other bad habits are a matter of degree. Your body needs food. Many people realize that they will gain a lot of weight if they do not take action. However, you cannot just stop eating altogether. You could for awhile, but that would not be healthy either. Instead, you must find a way to limit yourself.
To avoid the bad habits involved in letting yourself become overweight, you need to think differently. You can do this by thinking of food as a special treat that you only get at certain times. You can eat like a thin person-picking out the best part and leave the rest. There is a host of different thinking patterns you can take on to avoid getting fat.
Not exercising is another of the bad habits that will make you gain weight. You may know that you need to get up and move around. You may have every intention to do so. The energy does not seem to be there when you need it. To avoid this bad habit, start slowly. What you may not realize is that the energy will increase as your exercise increases.
Bad habits of personal hygiene can be avoided by developing a positive routine. If you fear going out in public smelling bad, you can make it a habit to shower every morning. Shower more than once a day if the situation calls for it. Brush your teeth and comb your hair. If you are just starting out on your own, you could even make a list. After all, you are probably past those teen years when everyone else made sure you were decent.
Relationships are difficult enough without developing bad habits. If you are getting married, make a point of discussing all the possible trouble areas first. You can do this with a pre-marriage counselor or on your own. Either way, it is good to learn how you each can contribute to keeping away the bad habits of jealousy or neglect.
Many bad habits can be avoided if you will only consider the needs of yourself and of others equally. Putting yourself first at all times makes you selfish and hard to abide. Putting others first all the time just makes you a doormat.
For every bad habit, there is a way to avoid it. The trouble is that no one can be vigilant enough to control that many behaviors. What is more, many bad habits start before people are old enough to think much about it. If you want to, though, you can pass up some of them.

Singing Teddy Bears

Still trying to figure out what to get that special someone? Get them a singing teddy bear and if you really want to show them you care, have the singing teddy bear show up at their work. But remember, what goes around comes around and they may not be too excited to have someone dressed as a teddy bear dancing in front of their co-workers while singing a song. Instead, you might want to try going with a real singing teddy bear.
Singing teddy bears will definitely make them smile; get one that you know they will treasure. Shopping for a teddy bear doesn’t have to become a chore, at least not when you have teddy bears galore. Find a soft bear that sings a special song, from jazz to romantic music, these bears can do just about anything. A singing teddy bear will definitely let them know where they stand and just how much you love them.
There are teddy bears that sing songs for children or even sing a newborn baby to sleep. A Toilet training singing teddy bears will sing a catchy tune that only a child could love about going to the potty. It may not be something us adults like, but a child is sure to love it. The bears are small and all wear a cloth diaper and look like they are eagerly waiting for a hug. These special teddy bears can be purchased for a song,  so if potty training isn’t going as great as you hoped this may be the trick.
Singing teddy bears can be a lot of fun to listen to, especially when it was given to you. Teddy bears aren’t just for cuddling anymore, now they are passing along a message.
Here is my message, over the last five days, I have written about different ideas about teddy bears. As a blogger, I find it is hard sometimes to get an idea or a topic to write about, sometimes I think it is rather easy, sometimes I find it can be very difficult. I suspect that each of us who blog run into the same problem from time to time.
So, to prove a point to myself I set a goal of finding a topic and coming up with different approaches to it over a five day period. After searching around for a theme for about a month and wandering around in a fog, my daughter sent me a picture of my grandson (who is seven) after a hard day of playing in the pool and in the sun while they were on vacation. In the picture, he is sound asleep with his teddy bear by his side. Eureka, I had my theme, but it took a while to construct my stories and I tried to come up with an approach that was a bit different from the ordinary.
I hope you have enjoyed my journey into the world of teddy bears. Remember, inspiration is all around us, all we need to do as writers and bloggers is pay attention, listen, and then write.

Teddy Bears as Gifts

Valentine's Day is only a week away and some men may have not yet decided what gift to get for their Valentine. May I suggest a Teddy bear. Teddy bears are a very popular gift-giving item. You just can’t seem to go wrong with a teddy bear.  With so many different types of teddy bears to choose from, there is something everyone likes, boys, girls, babies and adults love them.

You can get a teddy bear for someone just to show them that you love them. This is probably one of the biggest reasons teddy bears sell so well on Valentine’s day. They are big, soft, cuddly and ready for a hug.  No matter what it seems like the person giving the bear away gets one too.

Children love teddy bears too, it doesn’t matter if they get the same bear twice, they’ll just say they’ve got twins.  Many children look at a teddy bear as a security item; they know that the teddy bear won’t let anyone hurt them during the night. When you give a child teddy bear as a gift, you are giving them the ability to sleep through the night. The child just knows it means you love them.

Teddy bears make for great gift ideas or bribes when you are trying to get your child potty trained. Tell your child that once he/she has learned how to use the potty chair they can go to the store to get themselves their very own teddy. Be careful though, they may want to make their very own bear.

If you are planning on hosting a party, teddy bears are a great baggie gift. Go to your local dollar store and pick up a couple. You may even want to try making wax dipped teddy bears as a prize for one or two games. Whatever the event is, teddy bears are great to pass out.

Inviting Your Teddy Bears for Tea

Children, both boys and girls, love parties and when my children were young, we had many tea parties. As a grandparent or a parent, perhaps planning a Tea Party might be a fun activity to have with your children.

The first thing you need to do is make a list of all the people you are planning to invite. Help your child with this but remember, kids, love to do this. Letting them decide on who gets to come to their teddy bears’ tea party will make them feel very grown-up and in charge.
If you are helping your child or grandchild to plan this tea party try having a teddy bear themed one. Simply invite everyone to bring along their favourite teddy bears for an afternoon tea party. Tea parties are a lot of fun and everyone can take part.
Try creating your very own invitations by cutting the paper into a teddy bear shape. Make sure you let everyone know that they must bring their teddy bear. In case someone forgets, you may want to have a few teddy bears handy.

Put a tablecloth on the table you’ll be using and try to find a few teddy bear decorations. A large teddy bear in the centre of the table would make a great centrepiece and the kids will love it. Have a nameplate for each child and their guest and don’t forget that Teddy needs to drink too. Remember teddy bears don’t really drink, make sure you don’t put anything in their cups or a child may try it.
As soon as everyone arrives you can have them all place their teddy bears in the chairs and begin with games. Teddy Bear- Teddy Bear is a fun game to play, pin the tail, For the pin the tail you may want to draw your own giant teddy bear and have the kids pin the bee on the nose. Let the kids have a fun time and then invite them over to the table for tea.
Make sure you have plenty of finger sandwiches for everyone. You don’t need anything fancy, just slice up a few peanut butter and jelly sandwiches into fours. Milky tea is the perfect type to go with a teddy bears’ tea party and don’t forget the dessert. What bear doesn’t like sweets?
