Do you believe in Magic?

Do you believe that things like magical books or places exist?
Do you believe that a magical book could give you the power to change your life?
Of course not.
Magic isn’t real.
However, on this wonderful August Sunday Relax, listen to The Lovin' Spoonful and sing along with this great song;
Do you believe in magic in a young girl's heart How the music can free her whenever it starts? And it's magic if the music is groovy It makes you feel happy like an old-time movie I'll tell you about the magic, and it'll free your soul But it's like tryna tell a stranger 'bout-a rock and roll If you believe in magic, don't bother to choose If it's jug band music or rhythm and blues Just go and listen, and it'll start with a smile That won't wipe off your face no matter how hard you try Your feet start tapping, and you can't seem to find How you got there so just blow your mind If you believe in magic, come along with me We'll dance until morning till there's just you and me And maybe, if the music is right I'll meet you tomorrow, sort of late at night And we'll go dancing, baby, then you'll see How the magic's in the music and the music's in me Yeah Do you believe in magic? Yeah Believe in the magic of the young girl's soul Believe in the magic of-a rock and roll Believe in the magic that can set you free Ohh, talking 'bout the magic

New Years

As I said in yesterdays post, we had a scheduled dinner cruise planned, and it was New Years Eve. The dinner cruise was enjoyed by my wife and her mother, while I enjoyed a very good pizza and nice music. When the cruise was over the time was close to 8:00 pm so we drove back to the Condo and watched the New Years Eve celebrations around the world. I was impressed by Australia, Berlin and London. At 11:30 we went down to the beach in front of the Condo and joined a few hundred others watching the fireworks along the beach.

There is a new law in Maui that prohibits fireworks that actually go into the air over 10 feet --without a licence--so the fireworks were rather tame. At midnight one of the large hotels down the beach set off their display of fireworks and it was fantastic, a job well done and breathtaking to observe. I thought to myself what a magical time, I am standing on the beach  under a clear skyin Maui, listening to the wave break on the shore, while watching fireworks break above palm trees celebrating the arrival of a new year.
2011 is starting off to be a good year. I am looking forward to new adventures and challenges as the year unfolds.

Happy Birthday

November 26th is a special day for me and my love, it is her birthday and I just want to wish her a wonderful day, full of cheer, love and happiness. The time we have been together has been fun, fabulous and wonderful and I look forward to sharing many more years with you.

Birthdays are special times for the birthday person, but also for family, friends and others; it is a time to celebrate the uniqueness of one's life as well as a time for others to celebrate the contributions a person has made to our life. Birthdays are a time, which allow us to say to the one we love how much they mean to us and how much they have contributed to our sense of well being and how they have helped us in our journey. To all of you celebrate a birthday today, my wish is that you have a happy day. I hope you enjoy the following  birthday songs

Who wants to work?

July is just about over, one more week and the last month of summer starts, today the weather cooperated and as I think about the rest of the summer my thoughts move to magic. I feel a loss when pragmatism wins over the mystical. There is a greater magic at work when you engage with Source. I believe that strength and optimism combined with hard work will keep marketing principles and other learned strategies working well for success. As I moved away from working hard and focused more and more on my gifts, passion & purpose, magical things began happening.  I am being pushed deeper into a relationship with the mystical, the metaphysical, the spiritual - so many words to describe the same thing - and practicing a new way of being in this world. It is much simpler, much more organic, much more peaceful, and in many respects, very easy. Well, easy when I get out of my way.

There have been times when I've been in a complete and utter panic over what was not materializing. I'd come close to reverting to an old pattern and headaches would show up and more resistance in mind, body, and spirit. Within 24-48 hours, I'd back off from my worries, unable to give-in and give up the dream. I'd trust and just as suddenly, abundance again made itself known.

I see this pattern, these ups & downs, as part of the training I am receiving. To deepen my relationship with the divine. To trust source. To trust my true calling, passion and purpose. To express more fully who I am and thereby be a much better guide and teacher. Magic lives everywhere. Being pragmatic can work, but who wants to work?
